The first consultation

The better you prepare for the initial consultation, the greater assurance you have that your attorney can quickly, easily and precisely understand you situation and take appropriate steps.

Jot down a few key words pertaining to your situation, your problems and your concerns. Obtain all necessary papers and documents in good time and bring them along to your first meeting.

Ask your attorney to answer the following questions:

  •         Are you able and willing to represent me?

  •         Is there a solution to my problem?

  •         How do you see my chances and my risks?

  •         What concrete steps can you and will you take for me?

  •         What concrete action can I take myself and how should I prepare myself?

  •         What are the likely costs (attorney fee, court costs, other expenses)?
